About Filix

Slow fashion. Emotional craftsmanship. A practice rooted in care.

Filix is a fashion label rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and the emotional dimension of clothing. Founded by Emma Weinstein, Filix began with a simple act of hand-knitting — a grounding ritual that bloomed into an exploration of textiles, materials, and memory.

Each Filix piece is created slowly, with care — emphasizing quality construction, expressive process, and material integrity. With its origins in hand-knitting and expanded practices including machine knitting, embroidery, and sewing, the brand prioritizes longevity and intention over trend.

At its core, Filix believes garments can hold healing, identity, and story — built stitch by stitch.

About Emma

Emma Weinstein is a fashion designer and textile artist based in Manhattan. She began hand-knitting in 2018 as a way to manage anxiety, discovering rhythm and relief through repetition and touch. That personal practice evolved into a multidisciplinary exploration — expanding to machine knitting, pattern drafting, embroidery, and spinning yarn.

Emma currently studies Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she continues to build Filix as both a creative label and an evolving personal practice.
